Mirrors
Im looking to replace the big mirrors on my 86' c10.
Ive seen some that Ive heard were from a suburban that were smaller and black, looked more like the ones on newer cars. Does anyone here have different mirrors on there truck than the stock ones?

Re: Mirrors
There are tons of options in mirrors, but whatever you get, you'll likely end up with 3 bolt holes to fill from the factory mirrors.
Late 70's Camaros have some nice side mirrors. Or, if you want something a little larger, take a look at 92-96 F150 mirrors. |

Re: Mirrors
I used the mirrors from the 67-72 trucks. Just filled in my old holes when I repainted.

Re: Mirrors
Thanks for the ideas guys,
Ive seen some mirrors on some suburbans like our trucks. Im not sure if it was only a certain year or what, do any of you know? They looked stock, all black and mounted right on the body.

Re: Mirrors
Does anyone know where I can find some of those mirrors? The only ones I can find for the suburbans are the big chrome or stainless ones like what Im trying to get rid of.
Id prefer new ones rather than used if possible.

Re: Mirrors
Interesting concept 87 Stepper. So did you cover the whole vent window as a mounting plate? Can I get a pic from a lil farther back?

Re: Mirrors
I am working on a conversion to take the standard (Dumbo ears) mount for the doors and put a set of Street Scene mirros on them. That way I have the 3 holes covered and I get rid of the large mirror on the door. I am using the same mirrors that is on the 88-98 Chevy trucks. The trick will be to make a mount that sets on top of the original post and cover so that id does not move, since the mirror does inside the housing.

Re: Mirrors
No a close-up pic, but what you are wanting are factory power mirrors for the 90-91 Suburbans in Silverado Trim. Here they are on my '90 Burb:

Re: Mirrors
I can't say that I would like that idea. The mirrors look good though.
