I cut up one the other day that was nicer for patch panels, '69-'72 hoods are a dime a dozen anywhere

He spent more money investing his time to write up that auction than the darn thing is worth. What a waste.

Re: Nice hood on Ebay

All you`d have to do is cut out the supports from the underside, spend a few hours dollying it out,tap out the highs, smear some bondo, weld the supports back, seal, and it`s ready to paint.Just hope it doesn`t get "flexed".
Or,you could take that money and buy a cowl hood.
I was thinking that would be a nice hood "as is" for someone running a street rod truck with the "hood off" look.

I did the same thing to my 72 hood after it Blew over and got a small dent in it.
Patch Pannels I managed to patch the speaker hole in the dash, make floor supports, patch the inside of the box, and various small holes in the firewall. Hey it's thick metal .........

Looks like it might have been a dang good hood before he backed over it though No holes in the support along the front where they like to rust out.

Anyone bother to check out his OTHER items?
He has a rearview mirror....with faded out glass
...a pair of vent windows that he bent the channel on trying to remove them
...a pair of arm rests that aren't 'discolored'...but you can see red showing thru
...and this baby....a heater control....
FULL OF HOLES in the face!!!.....

Maybe you should hire him as a salesman.Think of all the money you`d make and all the trips to the scrapyard he`d save you.

Re: Nice hood on Ebay

Hey special, I can hook you up with a dented hood, but the dent is in the opposite side and not as nice as the one in the auction (the dent on mine is not as big ) got a foggy windshiled too! but not crack, you'll have to crack it yourself, 'cuz I say not to crack!
