Re: odometer question

Some ppl will try and tell you that the number won't roll all the way over after 9, and that is supposed to indicate it has over 100K on it... but it is urban legond.
Take your best guess on it Dean.

Then get us some pics.

Re: odometer question

on a vehicle that's near 40years old you can't tell if the speedometer is the one that originally came with the truck much less if the odeometer is correct

Re: odometer question

the last time it has been on the road was 1973 It has never been re-painted either so it may only have 49000 on it

Re: odometer question

Wow... sweet... funny color combo, but sweet none the less.
You need to stop hogging up all the cool trucks man. What would your signiture look like if you tried to list them all? (Time to update that sucker too)

I've never seen a stock lighter without the bright trim around it... at least not on a 68 - 72.. only on 67 trucks.
I wonder if this is an early 68? Is the Safety sticker still in the drivers door jamb? If not... is the sequental number pretty low?

Re: odometer question

Also interesting that the glove box door isn't black. Most GMC trucks I've seen have the glove box door matching the color of the Inst Panel.

Re: odometer question

You are going to have to triple the size of that shop if you don't quit bringing stuff home
