Transfer Case Question...?
What transfer case do I need? I have a 68 3/4 ton 4x4. It has the 4 speed trans with granny 1st gear. I guess it currently has a Rockwell transfer case in it(???) I am thinking of converting to a Auto Trans (TH350/TH400). I'm supposing I need the NP205C transfer case. Do I need the 27 spline input or 10? fixed or slip rear yoke? I see they used the NP205C from 69-86 what years are all the same as I need?
Also, What is the Rockwell issue? Are there no adapters to use my current transfer case behind a TH350/TH400? Or is it not worth using? Please enlighten me on some 4X4 info... P.S. oh, it's the truck in my avatar...

Re: Transfer Case Question...?
Your probably better off finding a complete 205 transfer case and trans combo. ..original late 69 to 72 units used the NP205 with 27 spline adapter to the turbo 350 and had fixed yoke.
If you want the 400 trans you need a NP205 with a 32 spline female adapter ..but as mentioned above..advance adapters has modification unit pieces to convert different combinations to work.
