Re: tail gate strip

Is one the strip that goes at the back of the bed and holds down the carpet/mat and the weatherstrip around the tail gate? You can see the chrome strip at the bottom of this picture.

Re: tail gate strip

Bouncy, think those are the strips on the top of the tail gate to keep the hatch from going into the bed.

I have the exact same set. LOL
Bought one off ebay and then found another NOS like new condition on ebay later on that I jumped on. Haven't tried to mount them. But one, like the one in your top pic, is different at the ends, the lip comes out further at the ends. I was wondering if someone had cut the ends of the other one. Could be a difference bt. single wall and double wall OR maybe years.

I have a brand new tailgate, so no holes to line up too. So I'm interested to find out which is correct for my '71.

Re: tail gate strip

The one in the blazer holding the carpet down is rounded on both side the same. The 2nd one in my pictures is only rounded on one side their is a lip on the other side for the hatch to rest on. It looks just like the one that came off my jimmy and I still have it.

Re: tail gate strip

Yes that looks like the one that was on my jimmy I am still waiting for it to come in the mail. The first one (green) wont even come close to lining up to the screw holes. I will take a picture of my old one. Maybe 69-70 were differant than 71-72.

Re: tail gate strip

Yeah it does look like the yellow one.

Still interested in knowing what year the green one in your first pic is for? Suprised no one else has chimed in. Are most people missing this strip?
