Unhappy 700R4 help needed - Anybody got any good links to DIY info?

My 700R4 needs a bit of tweaking (shift timing, firmness, etc.), but I'm a moron. Anybody know where a guy can find something similar to a "700R4 for Dummies?"

Kinda sounds like you need a tv cable adjustment. Vette and redneck listed two good sites for you.

I wish that were all. Unfortunately I've got some weird problems as well. I've played with the cable, but can't seem to get it right.

The trans seems to be, well, almost out of gear at an idle. I say almost because it still wants to roll forward.

When you ease onto the gas, it clunks into gear and then goes. Weird huh?

I also can't seem to get it to shift at the right RPMs or the right harshness.
