I was going to weld something to work in my 72 but thought an original would be nice. I am currently the high bidder for one on ebay as I type this message. Crossing my fingers that my low ball bid comes out on top.

I think a 35'' is way to big for a carrier like that. I have a 31'' on mine and thats too big. The hold down bolt is really slanted just to get up to the center of the rim, i couldn't use the original carriage bolt due to how wide the tire was. The tire sits way above the back seat and blocks almost half of rear windows view through the rear view mirror. I think the only way to fit a 35" would be to use a flat 35" which defeats the purpose.

if anyone has the bolt and plate that secure the tire could you post a picture or send it to my email aaron@13lazer.com. i have several crates of random parts and im wondering if the bolts are the same on all spare mounts?

Looks like I will be listing mine on Ebay right away. I was willing to sell it for $125.00 with the hardware. I will send you a pic of what the plate looks like. The bolt on mine looks like it has been replaced but it all secures properly.
