Sea Foam
Anyone ever use this stuff in our old 350's? Another board I read for my wifes Crown Vic swears by this stuff on cleaning gunk and junk out of the engines.
Thanks |

Re: Sea Foam
I use it in my motorcycle, small gas engines, tractor and vehicles. It's the greatest thing since sliced bread. It really does wonders for cleaning out carbon build-up and preventing future build-up. I love it!

Re: Sea Foam
I have used it for years. Great stuff and have never had a problem. I actually bought a case of it, just to make sure I always have some around. Just follow the directions on the back and always use it outdoors. I buy it at NAPA but it is probably available elsewhere. I have used it on our old trucks with good results.

Re: Sea Foam
I've read a lot about it on GM-trucks.com. The 99-02 truck 5.3 motors are notorious for carbon build-up and a lot of guys use it on their truck. My only tips are to not let it feed in too fast (it will kill the engine, then you have to wait like 15-20 minutes before you restart or esle it could cause engine damage, or so I've read and been told) I haven't used sea foam, but a similar product on my 00 5.3 Z71. It worked great. It idled smoother after. I don't know what it will do for an older V8 though....
Also, I believe it's recommended to change your oil soon after you run sea foam through an engine, is this true? I did it after I ran something similar (cant remember the name of it) through my engine.
