OK, now that kicks ass. How the hell does that work anyway? I know there are kits to do it, but where does the extra fuel come from to make this happen?

I need one of those.

im not too sure if this is right but a friend of mine in high school did this, he had a coil, and a long ass wire running to his tip with a spark plug on the end, had some power goping to the coil i guess and a switch on the wire going to the tip, when he wanted to shoot flames he would rev it and when he let off the gas thee is flammable gasses coming out of the tip, i guess unburned fuel, itworked okay but couldve been done properly ithink, i heard it is bad thou casue if it backfires it can fk **** up, can someone else explain this cause im intersted too

I wouldn't put something like that on my truck just because i'd be scared a person or small kid would walk behind me without me noticing. Looks cool, but really dangerous.

Man thats cool,

how it works is ( im pretty sure ) you rev up the motor then kill it real quick,and hit the switch for the flames, because the motor wont be burning the fuel ( because its shutoff ). What else is cool is if you rev up the the motor when going down the street, turn it off then turn it back on real quick youll get a loud backfire,probablem with doing that is youll have to buy new muffs after a time or too...

There is a KIT that is made now that is suppose to take any of the damages away that could incurr, But when I was a kid, We would take an EXTRA coil, put a long wire on the coil wire output and run it with a toggle switch, The sparkplug is mounted through the exhaust pipe with the wire from the coil igniting it. You don't have to kill your engine, Put a hand operated choke cable on it and when you want flames you choke it and step on the gas, when you unchoke it instantly hit the switch and there's your flames,,, The wetter you get the plug the better the flames.

We had a big discussion on this subject last fall I think on WES'S board, some of the guys said they were going to try it this way and some wanted to go to the new "KIT" you might go there and ask if anyone actually followed through with it.

I can't remember the name, I do remember they're out of CALIFORNIA.. They had a pretty sharp website and had lots of pictures of their unit in operation, cars,motorcycles etc.

Check over at WES'S board and see if anyone remembers about it and if they may have the web address. I had it in my favorites for a long time and went through and cleaned it out. It can get to be way too long.....

heres the deal.....u guys are all leaving out one main thing. first of all no i havn't gotten in trouble with it second of all theres a kit u buy that includes a box that when u press a switch (that is attached to the ignition and the box which is made to kill the engine and give the plugs continuos spark) it kills the ignition to the engine letting gass flow through it freely and at the same time from that box power goes through wire and a coil per exhaust pipe and then to the plug

There are a couple kits out there for this one is at www.hotrodsetc.net I can't rember the addy for the other but this is the one I'm going to put on my truck. I was going to do the coil trick but I heard you can blow off your mufflers. I just put on new Flowmasters and don't want that, plus with the kit you don't have to choke it. They have some really cool pics at that site check out the ones titled "Dangerous Dave".
