What did you get done? Super Bowl XL edition!

I spent Saturday at a volleyball tournament with my daughter. They played well all day and ended up in the finals. Unfortunately they locked up in the final round and quit playing their game. They lost and ended up in second place.

Today I worked in my yard all day. I trimmed, raked, transplanted, and pulled weeds till my fingers bled. The yard looks great, but I am beat.

What did you get done?

Re: What did you get done? Super Bowl XL edition!

I spent this afternoon getting my step-side box's floor in.

I wound up using a sheet of 4x8 3/4" cedar plywood. Of course, when I cut it, I cut the floor about 6" too short, DOH, but in the end, I think that was to my advantage, as it made it possible for me to get the floor tucked in under the lips of both the front and the rear of the bed.

I also got the tail lights mounted, but then it got too dark for me to install the box on my truck. When my father gets back home Tuesday night, I hope to drop the step box on

I welded up the marker light hole in my passenger side 68 fender, roughed in the body work, and primed it. I got some wheels yesterday and some tires on friday. I should have them mounted up tomorrow and will post some pics.

Re: What did you get done? Super Bowl XL edition!

last weekend was at the boneyard and picked up a door for my 81, went back to the yard today with a bud looking of ra generator case for a t-bird he is workingon. So while just searching the trucks i got really lucky and found an 81 6/stick and the column shift linkage was still on the truck so i snatched it for mine. Hope to have door on sometime this weekand button up on some of the other things, oh and going to ck on a stepside bed i seen sitting in a yard a few miles from home

Re: What did you get done? Super Bowl XL edition!

I worked and watched the game. Yesterday I went to work and the truck was running like crap and was burning rich. So after work in the dark with a shop light I had to readjust the carb's floats to spec. Both were going up too high allowing too much gas in. I'm glad I got an Edelbrock carb. Much easier to work on while on the truck

I think he can probably save the fender.
I got a set of rodder5s from Coys Wheel. They are not exactly what I wanted, but I got a deal i really could not pass up. i may have to run a spacer on the back, but for the price I will deal with it( for now).

Re: What did you get done? Super Bowl XL edition!

On Sat I had lunch & visited my buddies @ Stoked Out Specialties. I got to check out the progress on several rides like 'n2billets' project 68, 'N2TRUXs' 77 & the Cutlass convert they're prepping for the Dallas Autorama. I left there feeling motivated & worked on the 350 for a while. I decided after a 'rattle can' coat of color & mounting them up, the GM serp brackets I slicked out last weekend are not the direction I want to go so they'll be on the auction block to finance some new brackets & accessories.

I helped prep & do some priming of the young one's bedroom for some new color. I'm not sure how this occurred since she wasn't even home to help .

Today was more of the paint stuff but I only handled prep & clean-up this time. The young one made it home long enough to shower so she could go over to a friends house to watch the game (what about helping get your room painted????). We finished in time for the end of the 1st qtr of the big game & then headed over to her parents for dinner & some football.

Bagged74..... nice hoops.

I went Wheeling on Superbowl Sunday with DirtyLarry and company.. Had fun and was still back to the house in time for the kickoff. Got stuck a bunch of times in the snow but had a good time.

Are you pleased with the quality of the wheel? I looked at them on a couple of trucks last season. They looked like they had a decent finish but I couldn't be sure.

What's the size and backspace? Why spacers?

The wheel itself looks really good, the chrome looks great. the chrome on the center caps sucks . I am going to call today and see what we can do about the center cap issue.
The wheels are 20x8.5s with a 5" backspace, it should work great on the front, but the back is gonna be too far up under the truck. I think a spacer should make it look tolerable.

Had a yard sale for 3 days, rototilled the back yard and put down sod, on my truck I used some merguires paste and started buffing out the 86.

Had fun with the family, let my wife go shopping while I kept the kids, cleaned the carpets, and bought but did not install a voltage regulator for the C10

OK, so why did you go with the 5" bs? Did you buy these from Coy's or someone else?
I sure wish they would make a 20x9.5". I really would like to have a cxhrome wheel on my 77, but I don't know if I would like 20x8.5"

Re: What did you get done? Super Bowl XL edition!

I cleaned out the Jimmy's interior and found the interior panels I need to bolt into it (after drilling the holes). I also had to wash and clean my Vette that has been neglected since my wifes surgery. Found it has a water leak, it was damp on the passenger side EEEK!!!. We ended up driving it Saturday to "air" some of it out in the sun. Went to the Dyno were my brothers Stock 2000 5.3L Silverado put down 475hp and 606lb/ft with 12lb of boost.

We also picked up our Blue Doberman pup from getting her ears trimmed. She has been a little upset and not quite herself.

As for the 5" BS, thats all they make. The website lists them, but they are not available.

Re: What did you get done? Super Bowl XL edition!

I had a mostly non-car weekend, but I did manage to reverse the battery and ignition wires on my Sirius controller in the truck so that now it actually turns on to the station I left it on.

I recently became an ACS Carpet dealer and I got my color samples in the mail over the weekend, so now I can take my chosen color with me to start finding matching fabric for my Camaro interior.

In the fall I parked my GTA in my cousin's garage for the winter, after having it sit outside under a pine tree for way too long. Yesterday I cleaned up the interior, and next time it gets warm I'll start bringing that paint back to life.

Ooooh, now I get it. I emailed them a while back asking a few questions. I never got a response, so I blew them off.
I don't think a 295/40/20 will work on an 20x8.5". What tire are you going to run?
