Need a shinny bumper

What would the best way be to make my bumper shine, my rear step bumper is oxidized and i need to try to make it shine anyone have any ideas.

I'm assuming it is painted since you mentioned it is oxidized. Try a product called liquid lustre. The stuff is incredible at bringing back a shine and cutting through years of junk. Its all I use on my vehicles. My 68 has no clear coat and soaks up dirt and grease. Nothing else works near as good and is so easy. I'll post the link when I find it.

oven cleaner works well for getting the crud off, after that try dura-glit

this probably isnt the best idea in the world, but i use a SOS pad (soapy brush thing) and then clear coat it, no scratches and shines good IMO.. better then paying for new stuff unless you got the money too

When I was restoring the chrome on Maych, I found that 0000 steel wool was absolutely marvelous for removing crud and restoring the shine. I followed up with Autosol metal polish to give it protection from future oxidation.

Here's a pic of before and after using 0000 steel wool, and nothing else.
