Have you guys ever seen one built? I was thinking of taking regular burb and chop and shorten it to the 70-72 blazer spec's. I like the 70 style but every one wants them these days and prices are thru the roof for a crappy one. Also I like building thigs a bit different from everyone else. It would be a solid top (non removable) and dropped on bags with modern running gear. Just curious if it has been done before.

It would be this kind of look but out of a 64-66

I had this idea photoshopped about a year ago.I`m with you on it,cool idea.What I want is a top off 4wd.

I did some PS versions, but can only find these. One by Zumo and one of mine. Go for it. I don't think it's been done. Would definitely be cool!

Thanks guys this is the look I am thinking of but with thinner rear B pilers and rack the C piler to match the B piler angle.

looks sweet, i have started on a 64, 5-6 drop and was just recently thinking of bagging the suspension. would be sweet to shorten one though.

I am going to keep my eyes open but what kind of price should I expect to pay for one that is in decent shape just needing the normal amount of rust repair? Running or not running is not a big deal.

I have never been an E-bay kind of guy. Once I finish the 68 4 door crew cab I am building for a customer I plan on finishing my 71 SWB, sell it and start a 65 blazer for my shop truck and advertisment. What were the options for rear doors on these burbs?

Same: clamshell (liftgate/tailgate) or barn doors. Just a thought; you might consider starting with a paneltruck. They're generally cheaper, and the rear quater window area will be a blank canvas for the custom one-piece glass to go in.

True but the window trucks have the formed chanels for the glass rubber to sit and their is a bit more rigidity to them.
