68 anniversery C-10 pics continued

Here are some more pics of my truck. I have included the options list. You can still see the factory white writing on the firewall. In the last picture if you look closely you can see (almost ghost image) the words "gold special". The word gold starts by the 10934 and the word special starts by the 6. I found it interesting! I also have the original owners manual, protecto-plate booklet, and the original folder the onwer received when first purchased with the salesmans name and owners name with place of purchase. All match the protecto plate info!

Is it just me? I don't see many pipes from the breather to the exhaust on 68 trucks. Me like!

Are you talking about the pipe from the breather to the manifold? The picture posted don't show it but it does have a pipe going from the exhaust manifold to the breather to aid in warm up.

I think maybe he's talking about the hose going from the breather to the air cleaner?
Nice looking truck BTW, and welcome to the board.

I agree about the Edelbrock! I guess someone didn't care for the Q-jet and decided to add this. This was the only thing on the truck that wasn't original. The wheels are after market but I have the original wheels and covers that came with it!

VERY nice 68 you have there HATMPITA. Welcome to the board.

That's a nicely equipped 68 survivor. My kind of truck!

Hmm, Here's a little more evidence that the alt bracket on a FEW 68's were painted orange not black. My 68 327 alt bracket is orange like yours. I don't know how many people have told me mine's the wrong color. It seems like 99.99% of chevy SB alt brackets are black throughout the years.

Besides the Edelbrock Q-Jet and the brake booster it looks like a very original and complete truck, good find. Have you seen the price on a carb. like that?
It will run you about $600 bucks!

Color was "Anniversary Gold Poly." in the color chart and listed as "Ivory/Gold" on the glove box door.
