Can this be done with to much difficulty? I found a 77 chev shorty 4x4, Also can I use a Blazer frame? I found one of them too? I also have a 56 chev shorty stepside that I put a 76 Elcamino Frame under and i am thinking of making it a 4x4 too. Has anyone done this stuff?

I'll help you out. Yes it can be done, but it will take some adjustment by you to get the body to correctly fit on there. Mudder67 has done this swap on his swb Stepside on a later frame. You might go over to the 4x4 discussion forum on here and look around for it. It's a fairly common question over there. I had done the swap once by taking a lwb 73' 3/4 ton 4x4 and cutting it down and putting a 72 cheyenne body on it. Mine wasn't done half as good as Mudder67 (Randy) did on his. I 'll try to find a link to that if it's possible. Here is a pic of my old converted one until I bought my new Cheyenne Super. Trevor
