72 inner door panel
Can anyone tell me if 72 inner door panels will fit on a 71 door?

They will fit but the window regulater has a shorter shaft. The 72 has the one year longer shaft.

Thanks! I have a 72 but the doors have had some nasty dents over the years and I have a chance to get two pristeen 71 doors. They have no guts with them. So I'm hoping all the inner works on my 72 doors will work in them. Anything you can tell me about that? I realize the vent window on the 72 is held by a screw through the inner door, but I think I can fabricate a dimpled hole in the 71 doors to accomplish the effect. Anyone ever done that?

All the parts should interchange with no prob. I've never heard of anyone trying to make the dimple on a earlier door
