Post Drop Spindles???

I have a 71 SWB that I bought off of EBAY a few months ago. The thing has been lowered a little bit, but I'm not sure how much. It is a rear coil truck. The rear has 2 inch blocks, but I am not sure if the front was lowered by spindles or springs. I want to lower it more, but I don't want to buy new spindles if I already have drop spindles. Is there any way to tell by inspecting the spindles if they are drop spindles or not. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Best advice would be to compare to a stock truck.
or
Take to someone who is familiar with these trucks.
If they are drop spindles they are probably a whole lot cleaner that the originals would be, (maybe your spindles are cleaner than mine)
Drop spindles are the best way to go on a drop front end. By just installing springs throws out the geomtry of the suspension and makes for bouncy steering.
Try this link these guys sell dropped spindles: http://www.earlyclassic.com/

The spindles on the lowering spindles will look like they are almost centered in the casting between the ball joints. WES www.ClassicHeartbeat.com

RIGHT. Stock spindle center is toward the bottom, and drop spindle center is in the middle. If the back is just blocks, I would guess you don't have spindles. They probably lopped a coil off. Cheap way around doin it right. Unfortunatly it is usually the way people do it. Sad cause you can buy a good set of drop spindles for $160 and keep correct ride geometry, and you can still align it.
