reverse light switch
Where is the reverse ligth switch for a 67 3speed column and also for the 68' automatic? do these switches go bad? It seems like many trucks reverse lights do not work. It will be some time before I get to crawl under my truck again however. Just thought Id ask now.

Re: reverse light switch
Look on the top of the steering column inside the cab near the floor, you should find it there. Sometimes a little adjustment will do, bu of course there are fuses and wires etc to check also.

Re: reverse light switch
yup, on top of the column, on the firewall, on the inside. 2 green wires for your backup lights.

Re: reverse light switch
Slight thread hijack, sorry. But it is related.
My 67 with a 3 speed reverse light switch is on bottom of the column near the fire wall. My switch tests out ok by removing it and checking continuity with a multi meter. My problem is that the lever inside the column does not always come down far enough to push the button on the switch. How do you go about adjusting the column or the shift linkage (handle)? |
