Bought one on ebay with a cracked cupholder:

Are they replacable?

Who might have one?

Help a bonehead out!!!!!

The only place I've seen one new is from LMC. You might call and see if they sell just the top half? Or if that part is removable, you might be able to fab one up of solid wood? That might look nice. Good luck, Jeff.

Yes, their replaceable by changing out the 'upper' section.

Finding one already separated is going to be the challenge though.

Post up a WTB thread in the 73 & up parts section, that's where you'll find cup holder consoles.

The LMC one is a gheap imitation with no interchangable parts.How bad is it?could you repair it?It`s fiberglas.

Maybe, Trying to figure out how to strip the paint off.... Someone on board used "Aircraft Paint Stripper" aerosol.....

that's what we used in auto body, you just put in on and a while later all the **** is eaten through and you just scrape it off - dont get it on your skin!

The cup holder section is removeable and is not part of the whole top. You do have to disassemble the top to get it out. It's common for these to be cracked, but someone must have one kicking around that's not being used.
I used acetone to strip mine. Get yourself a pan, metal or plastic, large enough to put the disassembled console peices in, put about 3 in. or so of acetone in the pan and something like a fingernail brush to scrub the paint off. This will get all the paint out of the grain in the console and show more detail when you repaint it.
