Hood Latch ?
Please Help With Hood Latch Problem. Put New Core Support And Inner Fenders On This Past Weekend, Got Ready To Test Drive It And Hood Latch Would Not Hold. Tried To Adjust But No Luck. Any Idea?

Is the spike going all the way down into the latch? It can be extented a bit to reach further down. Or your hood might be making contact with another part (fender, core) before it has a chance...

SPIKE IS GOING ALL THE WAY DOWN. HOOD IS NOT HITTING ANY WHERE. THAT IS WHAT I DONT UNDERSTAND.

You may need to loosed the lock nut from the "Spike" and unscrew its longer. Thats a quick and easy thing to check. make sure the latch is lubed up well also.

Thanks for the help. After removing plate from hood to inspect fit of spike in catch part of latch it looks like spike could be wore out. How tight should this part be in latch?
