A couple more weeks becouse I don't have a hoist, and I'll be going to Michigan next Friday, and the hoist rental ppl are closed on sunday (my other day off), so I won't be able to get to it untill the following friday.
I keep reminding myself to not smoke while takin pics....

You are on your way.
My project truck was taken apart by the previous owner.
Now all I have to do is pick up where he left off and that is even a struggle sometimes.
Your truck looks like a nice original candidate for a restore.
How far do you intend to go with it?

Eventually, I'll take it back to original but better...all body work and all...but I can't even dream that far into the future. For now, just getting it running and titled and all that fun crap is all I really need to do.
Is that 68 of yours a 50th annv truck? It sure looks like it...at least, the bed anyways.

I know what you mean?
Just to have it running inspected and on the road is a big acomplishment in itself.
Yes the 68 is an anniversary model.
I have a long way to go with it. I was in the middle of finishing up the 71 when I found it. The previous owner had taken it apart and wanted to bail. He placed an ad in the local paper for parts and I got there before he sold off anything and took the whole project. Not what I was intending on doing but I needed some thing else to take up space in the garage :- )

Hi, my name is Jerry and I own a MVP jack. You can't beat them for the price though........ They aren't too heavy to take in a junk yard also..........JB

LOL @ all of you.
Warning for all you MVP owners...those things are junk. I was jacking up the old Mighty Morphi Power Ranger, ('88 ford Ranger XLT for those who don't know) And the frikken thing bent and collapsed. It was my dad's jack at that point, but i figured i'd keep it for light duty use. (you know...like a one ton Longhorn) It only leaves 3 wheel depressions in the soft asphault instead of 4.

Guess what....i own a crappie MVP jack too . My model is the 5000lb. version that costs like $30 at wally-world. I don't trust it very much....the second i get the truck to the height i need, i slide a set of jackstands underneath it. I have a phobia of being crushed by a truck falling off the jack, lol.

I had a 68 cougar that rolled off the ramps and dragged me with it. (i was under it) It is NOT FUN, use the jack stands and chock blocks when on ramps.
