I am looking for a posi for my 72 chev 3.73 or 3.42 whatever you have.

I don't have a carrier but here is a little tid bit you should be aware of, generally speaking that a carrier for 3.42 gears is considered a 3 series, for 3.73,4.10's this carrier is considered a 4 series. Normally you wont get a set of gears with a carrier setup and if your buying a carrier you should know what gears you do have or what you are going to use. My guess according to your sig this is going into the unit with the 700R4 trans, so if it where me I would want 3.73 or 4.10 gears to go with that trans. You caan get specialty ring & pinion gears for the series 3 carriers like 3.73's and 4.10's but their is a trade off of performance longevity with these gears.
