Well don't I feel like a moron, I guess I did something wrong. I changed them again, do they work now. I wouldn't pay that much for three red x's.

You're awesome! I am in the planning and cleanup stage of my shop. This is one of the tools I'm looking to get as soon as the shop is built. Did you install and was it easy?

Seacrow, I did the same thing in my shop, just as you have it. You may need to reinforce the truss where you trimmed it out for the lift boom. My roof started sagging a little bit at a time there for a while and it would have been a lot easier to take care of if I had done it early. Might not be an issue with yours, just thought I might give you a heads up. Otherwise... Congratulations on your new lift!

Congrats,they are a great piece of equipment to have no question!
A similar lift was one of the big reasons I moved my project back to the farm,it's four hours away but it's so much nicer to work on.

OK ok, I got the lift from american equipment located in Cleburne (sp?) Texas. They sell them on Ebay or I have a direct number if you prefer. I bought it direct. It was $1889 shipped to my house, I got it in about a week.

I modified my trusses by building a 2x6 truss next to my old one the cut the old one off, so I am now double trussed with braces going across. The pump runs on 220, I ran a new sub panel to my detached garage. I installed it with the help of two other guys to stand the towers up. It's very easy, tape measure, level, hammer drill with 3/4 bit, allen wrench set, screwdriver and pliers, connect two leveling cables and two hydraulic hoses, mount the pump fill up the resorvoir, bleed it out, recheck the oil and that's it. I had the whole operation up and going in two weeks, including the truss mods. I also had to get roll up garage doors installed, my conventional ones made it a pain. I had to put the doors down to lift a car, no breeze, no natural light. The roll up doors cost more than the damn lift.

BTW, shipping for this lift was $439, it weighs 1400 pounds and you do have to have a forklift or an engine hoist to help unload it from the freight truck. I used an engine hoist with no trouble, a friend brought his Kubota tractor to my house to haul it back to my rear garage. Getting it off the truck and in to whatever garage it goes to is the worst of it.

Look on Ebay, there is every kind of lift imaginable on there, you can even buy your own tire changing equipment, tire balancing machines, frame machine, rotisseries, you name it, it's on there.

i thought you were talking about the truck at first, i was like DAAAMN! $1450 for that beauty. but even the 2 post lift is a steal at that price.

Thats nice, I wish I could have gone that route but because of how my garage is situated I had to go with a 4' hydraulic scissor lift. Worst part like you said was getting it off the truck, I have a ford 4x4 tractor with a loader to help get it off. When I finally got it in the garage and while I was moving it into where I needed it, it slipped and slammed down on the end of two of my fingers, good thing there wasnt any ladies around. Almost 900+lbs dont feel good. I still have numbness in one finger..
