15 in rally with 5,7 drop

hey,i got alot of good advice a few months back on what tire size to run on 17 in tt,s,on a79 fleetside swb.however, due to financial reasons, the 5 and 7 drop's going to happen but i'm going to run the stock 15 rally's for awhile.what sizes fill the well decently,i've got a couple of 265/50/15's for the front and was thinking 295/50/15 in the rear.or would these look too short?

I would not go over a 275, assuming you have 8 inch wheels.

If you go with 3 inch spindles, you may have problems with the LCA or the caliper hitting the wheel with the 15s.

Re: 15 in rally with 5,7 drop

I agree with Slonaker that a 275/60 is big enough on a 8" wheel, no more....if your going to run 8" and 10" wide rallys with 265/50's and 295/50's then the set up would pretty much be similar to mine...the only thing different would be the offset of our wheels...tire sizes would be the same. Lol, my TT2's actually have the offset for a SWB, they barely fit on my stepper, I should of moved the rear wheels .5" in. But if your going to run 8" rally's then go with a 275/60 rear and a 255/60 front thats a pretty good combo, or you can try Longview tire, STS, Scwabs and see if any of them can find you a 10" wide rally.
