72' front springs from summit ?

I read a thread on using 73' front springs from Summit (Summit Brand) on a
72' truck. Thier catalog shows a 2" and 3" drop spring, but I only wnat a 1"
drop. Is there a part # for a 1" drop spring?

Thanks,
DJ

we are told that if you cut one complete coil off the stock front sping--you will get a 2" drop.

Fwiw, I've got Summit brand 2" springs and they're just rebranded Eibach I think. They're great whatever they are.

Re: 72' front springs from summit ?

Thanks for the feedback. I knew about ECE but was trying to save a little $.
A 2" drop (spring) + drop spindles, is lower than I want to go. I will stick with ECE springs and spindles, I am going for the 3 1/2" front and 4-5 back.

Thanks

Here is my sons truck with ECE 3 1/2" front (2 1/2 spindels and 1' springs)and 4 back. It will give you an idea how it looks.

Maybe i'm exposing my ignorance but, you can use 73 front springs in these pickups? 71-72? 69-72? 67-72? Thanks

Yes, they're the same spring other than the usual (big block/small block, etc)

Re: 72' front springs from summit ?

1970 cst short wide - I like that stance, do you have the shock relocator and deluxe track bar kit on the rear? I know the ECE web site says you don't need them unless you drop the rear more than 5".

Re: 72' front springs from summit ?

I have another ?, do I need shorter shocks for a 3 1/2" F / 4" R drop?
Front will be 2 1/2" drop spindle and 1" drop coil, back will be 4" drop coil.

thanks

Re: 72' front springs from summit ?

With the spindles you should be OK with stock shocks. On the rear you'll need the shock relocaters. Thats what were running anyway. All from ECE

1970 CST Short Wide: Are you running the "black daytona" rims? What tire size are you running? Sorry for the:tj: but I think your question was answered I like how that looks.... Having trouble deciding if I'm going with the black daytonas or a set of white spokes
