Vintage coolant recovery bottle F/S
First of all.... I don't know if this is a dealer installed unit...or a parts store unit. It looks quite a bit like the old ones, but I have no clue. (leaning towards not the right style myself) The one illistrated is one of two I have seen. I don't have pics of the other style, but it looks something liek what I'm selling here.
Coolant recovery system, solid bottle with 2 fittings, one up top, one down low. Cap and metal frame are rusty. On the bottle, has a full line, an add line, and in large print; U.S. PATENT NO. 3,614,982 Attached are two pics of it, and a picture (drawing?) from dealer books showing the bottle as installed by the dealer. Asking 25 dollars shipped to lower 48 US address.... outside of there, add a $2. PLEASE....no private messages nor E-mails to try and buy...in THIS thread only. First come first serve I accept money order, personal check, and I'll take cash, but I prefer not to. No pay pal or any cool online digital payment. |

Re: Vintage coolant recovery bottle F/S
Hmmm, there was something similar to this that I removed from a 68 GMC core support that was mounted on the outer side of the core support near the radiator cap. If I still have it I'll check to see if they are the same. I removed it because it looked like an owner add on but who knows...I definitely don't

My bottle is missing. Maybe I tossed it but the frame looks just like yours.

Re: Vintage coolant recovery bottle F/S
What kind of shape is the bottle in? Is it brittle at all, any leaks? If not, I'll give you a $20 for it shipped to Greer, SC

Re: Vintage coolant recovery bottle F/S
Not brittle at all, no leeks found. (I have no way to pressureize it though) It looks pretty solid, and if it leaks, let me klnow and I'll make it all good. Cool?
PM on the way. |
