Here are some cool flooring for your garage
This is really a neat site. I will be having a 30'X64' Garage built in the near future and I am planning on putting this in my garage. The company is called "RACEDECK". Check it out.
http://www.racedeck.com/residential.html I am planning on using the black and white checker.

Re: Here are some cool flooring for your garage
Re-post, from about 1.5 - 2 years ago I am going to eventually use this very
same thing, however $1500+ for a 20 x 20 garage is out of my current budget

Re: Here are some cool flooring for your garage
It can`t be done checkered, but I`d rather use the epoxy floor coating.Have you ever seen that?Man,it is nice and definately holds up.It`s been used for decades in industrial applications.

Re: Here are some cool flooring for your garage
Mine is grey with black spots....unfortunately it isn't a tile pattern.
That stuff wan't in my original budget when I built the shop. I guess I was afraid I'd ruin it anyways...I am by far not the neatest backyard mechanic. Now I will probably stick with the pattern ( ) I currently have because I am to darn lazy to move everything to put it down.

Re: Here are some cool flooring for your garage
Those are some NICE garages. I don't think I'd want to work on anythin gin there, it might get it dirty. That's the first time I've seen a garage with a couch in it that didn't have a transmision laying on it.

Re: Here are some cool flooring for your garage
There are knock-offs of the race-deck product that might be cheaper. It is way, way too expensive for me. I can't see using it in a working garage, but it does look sharp with high $ cars parked on it.

We are thinking of adding on to our big ol house If we do we are going to turn our garage into a Den / In-Law suite, replacing the 2 car garage is going to be a 3 car garage, I thought of making one bay seperate from the others, if I do I will probably splurge for that one bay, for GQ of course

Re: Here are some cool flooring for your garage
I was at a local home show yesterday and asked about the stuff. forget about working in there on top of it. I would rather go with sealed and painted concrete. sure, it will need maintenance but holds up better to hot torching slag and floor jacks quite well at work. I've heard the epoxy coating doesnt like slag and we have an area coated that is peeling from floor jack use. tough call on what to use.

Re: Here are some cool flooring for your garage
I went with the Rustoleum epoxy-shield kit 2 years ago when my garage was built. One kit did 250sq.ft for $60 and mine took 2 kits. Very nice product and now Home Depot carries the full line with even more heavier duty versions. Pep Boys also sells it and I have seen it on sale there. Highly recommend it. . Here's my garage

Some of those garages look like more of a showroom than a place to change a frame in.
