Horn connection

Some yahoo connected the horn under the steering column with a little horn button. A lot has been done to this truck so it is hard to tell how it was when it came from the factory in Atlanta. (it was a 3 on the tree and now is automatic)
SO....how can I reconnect the wiring to the horn button on the steering wheel?????

Take a look at all the original wires....I think its one of the black ones thats farthest to the end of the bunch or a white one, I don't rememer!!!!!. I'm sure its one thats on the end of the bundle of 4 or 5 wires. If you look under your column you will see a peice that slips under some little notches. This plate covers the wires. To get it off easily you need to remove the gauge cluster and move the little rubber grommet as far back past the plate as you can. Go ahead and remove the steering wheel and whatever you need to, to get to the signal switch. Check to see if they didn't just splice the wire and then run another from that to the button. I forget where it goes to on the signal switch. give me an hour or two and i can figure it out. But do what I just suggested first, if they did just cut the wire then you can just reattach it with out a problem. Be sure to disconnect the battery so you don't get a shock. Especially if you got one of those chrome steering wheels, if its not set up right and you touch bare metal spokes, it might tingle!!!!.

The LMC catalog has a diagram of the steering wheel asm with all the part numbers. Order the parts you think are missing and then try to reconstruct it. It is always easier to solve a puzzle if you have ALL the pieces.
