Junkyard seats
Well, the cadillac idea didn't work out. The seats were wider than I liked, so I found a set out of a 90? van. They need some work and new covers. I think I got hosed on the price, I paid $70 for the set. What do you think?

Re: Junkyard seats
Not a terrible price. But they look like they will be pretty tall on those bases. You better be altitudinally challenged or you will need a moon roof for the top of your head to stick out of.

Re: Junkyard seats
hehe, burb, your'e right. I think I'm going to have to shave the bases a little. The steering wheel sits on the seat right now.
earl I like that lock box too. Thought it would be nice for when the top is off. Have you got a shot of yours? I'd like to see what they could become. Thanks, Jeff.

Re: Junkyard seats
Hear are some pics of the seats with out the arm rests and trim i hadent put it on them yet. Im also using the back seat from the same van so all i have to do is is push a button and the seats come right out if i need extra room in the back. i even had the door pannels done to match.

Re: Junkyard seats
they are a bitt to high when in thr blazer so i am ether going to remove some of the seat bottom to free up space or lower the hump the seat sits on havent made up my mind yet what i will do. I did change to a small steering wheel and a van tilt so i could go with out doing any thing but I figure better to work it out now then latter.

Re: Junkyard seats
Wow! Those look nice. I'm going to cut the bases down I think and set them behind the humps where they should mount. I'll just have to make reinforcements for them.

Re: Junkyard seats
What a nice looking seat without the armrests and done with that vertical sewing.

Re: Junkyard seats
If I get achance Im in the middle of moving Ill post some pics with the bottoms painted black and all the trim back on them. If you look on the side you will see the seat belts are bilt in to them as well but i need to have a set of black belts stiched up with the corect end for the belts on the seat.
