Pics of 4x4 on 20's, 18's or 17's

This should bring out the critics, but I am starting a project and am ready to purchase some wheels and tires. I am running 35'' tires of some sort and thought it would look good to run a set of 20'' rims.

Now I know this isn't the most popular and I personally dont even know if I am going to like it that is why I would like some pics before I drop a couple grand in tires and wheels so any help is appriciated. Some pics of 17'' and 18'' would also be helpful

thanks guys

Re: Pics of 4x4 on 20's

I saw a pic of a 72 4X4 (IIRC) with big inch wheels.I can't find it now but I'm sure I saw it on here.I thought it made the sidewalls look alittle too skinny for a 4 wheeler but we know how opinions and bellybuttons are similar.

Re: Pics of 4x4 on 20's

You can get some really big 20's (lots of sidewall) if you want em. My 05 4X4 Yukon XL has 20's on them and I could go really big, just seemed like the limiting factor was $$$, if you have it the sky's the limit on sizes (hight)

Re: Pics of 4x4 on 20's

I agree, it only takes $$$ but I plan on sticking with 35/36'' tires. Still am up in the air about these 20's, think I might play it safe and just go with some 18's ??????

Re: Pics of 4x4 on 20's

It won't cost a ton, but 18's are about the same as 20 for cost of wheels, and the tire prices are from discount tire.com. I'd have put the 33X20's on my Yukon, but I haven't dropped the $2k on a lift kit yet, so I am stuck with 285X40x20. They offer a BFG in the 285 size, but they are almost as much as the 33's. I am planning 20 on my Blazer if I get it that far along.

Re: Pics of 4x4 on 20's

About the only way* that 20s look correct on a 4x4 are with tires like the 49 inch irocks I think (like the H2 has in the ads in the offroad magazines) and other insanley huge tires.

Ya, after looking at a couple different trucks I think 18's with 35'' rubber will make a little more sense

thanks guys

Re: Pics of 4x4 on 20's

Well, it may be just me but the 4x4's don't look quite right with 20 inch bling wheels on them

A little out of proportion or something, but

They kind of look (to me) like those late 80's GM cars with 26's on them lifted and out of whack. But that's my $.02
