What's it worth????????????

I know of a 69-70 3/4 ton 4x4 4-speed no opts truck, that was a fire truck for a small town. The truck is white with red int. It has documented 10,742 miles on it. The truck could use a good cleaning. Just wondering what you guys think it might be worth. I have not bought the truck yet, and don't know if I even want it.Thanx for the input Dana

Re: What's it worth????????????

I would imagine that it has been pretty well cared for. But I have no idea what it is worth. Sorry I can't help any further.

Re: What's it worth????????????

The truck has NO RUST and NO DENTS. The only draw back I see is the holes they put in it when installing the cb,spotlight, and other fire related stuff. It still looks like it was in a bubble for the past 30 years. Thanx dana

Sounds like a GREAT find Dana. I think I seen one sell on ebay for $6k (I think) about a year ago, it was a 72 though.

Re: What's it worth????????????

I saw one up the road a couple of months ago on ebay....it was a 3/4t 4x4 long bed stepside.....used as a plow truck, think it had like 15k on the odometer......I seem to remember it going for 3-4k.....and it wasn't dent/rust free (really good shape just the same).

Re: What's it worth????????????

I'd guess it is worth in the $5-6K range. Make a low offer. If the fire department is selling it, they probably just need to get rid of it. They probably don't know what it is worth.

Re: What's it worth????????????

Rust and dent free 3/4 4x4 with that low of miles could sell for as high as $8-9,000. I'd say that if you could get it for less than $7,000 you have done good. JOHN
