Fuel mileage and oversize tires
I've thought about this over and over and can justify both answers. Maybe you guys can help.
I have a 1991 S-10 with slightly oversize tires (9.50x15") as opposed to stock (205x15"). I check my mileage according to the speedometer alone and I get 18mg average-city/hwy. Will my actual mpg be higher or lower and by about what amount. I'm getting ready to seriously start trying to sell this and I'd like to be honest about the actual mileage I'm getting.

Re: Fuel mileage and oversize tires
If the tire is slightly taller then your speedo should be running slower than you are actually going. If your odometer turns according to what the speedo is saying then you are putting LESS miles on it than you are actually driving. So your mileage would be a little higher. By how much I am not real sure. On my Jeep I went from a 28" tall tire to a 33" tall tire and the speedo is off by about 10%.
