axle swap
my truck is a 69 1/2 ton 4x4 that has drum brakes on the front.my cousin wrecked his 78 1/2 ton(bent frame) and is parting it out. will his front axle with disk brakes fit on mine.

it should, are the axle ratio's the same? use the front axle, steering bow, the brake booster if it is power and the master cylinder. It will all bolt together, the drive shaft should be the same also.

Not sure where you are in Indiana, but I have a 72 4x4 that I bought for parts and only need the tie rod off the front axle. I do however need some front brake parts for my 68 4x4. If interested in trading some parts or simply selling part or all of old axle, please let me know.
