Price Truck Stop Back in Business!
Hello Gentlemen!
After a 5 year absence Price Truck Stop will be back in business within a few weeks. We will be more of a specialized shop selling nothing but select top notch aftermarket parts. No Junk!!! Some of the vendors that we will feature: Airide Technologies Budnik Wheels American Racing Vintage Series Wheels Zoops Early Classic Enterprises Sun Spec Billet Toyo Tires More to Come . . . Also we will be selling Project Vehicles, Hot Rods, Custom Trucks, and hard to find original parts. Please bear with us as we are in a beginning stage. I have sent a e-mail to Josh here at 67-72 Chevy Trucks in hopes of running a banner ad. Also with the banner ad we hope to have a new website as support. As far as other media we are considering Goodguys, and one of the Prime Media Books. If you need to contact us, please respond to this forum or e-mail us below. We look forward to talking to you! Regards, Perry Price E-mail: ptsmoto@msn.com |

Wow, Perry has it been that long? I guess it has, but it doesn't seem like it. Glad to see you got out from under the disaster you had dumped on you and you getting back in the saddle again.
Good luck with everything. Keep us posted on your progress>>>

Re: Price Truck Stop Back in Business!
Thanks Keith!
A little off the point but do you know anyone or business that does good website production? Also I would like to redesign my last logo to more of a vintage retro look. It would be nice to deal with someone who is familiar with the aftermarket. Last thing and this would be a great help! When making buying decisions on accessories, what would be the trend(s), items you would like to see, and services provided? Examples: 1. Wheels (Billet, Chrome, Steel) 2. Wheels (15",16",17",18",20", 22") 3. Tires (Tire and wheel packages? We use to do a large number but times change) 4. Interior (Billet, OEM, Chrome, Carbon Fiber, Etc...) 5. Exterior (Billet, Chrome, OEM, Etc...) These are just a few categories and maybe it is confusing but we are trying to get updated on the current trends. Important - Would you rather buy from a company that offers cheap prices, cheap products from what we call order takers or would you be willing to spend a few extra dollars to buy reputable products from a company that takes a genuine interest in your business? Sorry for the loaded topic but I would appreciate any feedback. Thanks, Perry Price PTS |

Re: Price Truck Stop Back in Business!
I personnally don't like wasteing my hard earned money on crap...cheap or pricey.
If your product quality, fit and finish are good,I don't mind paying for that. Of course everyone is looking for a "deal" but if your prices are competitive and the quality is there, word get's around quick. Wether you want to go after the "street Truck" market with the 22's or the restoration guys with OEM parts is up to you. There is quite the mix on this board though. I have reodone my Blazer basically back to original but I do like the lowered "Street Truck" look as well. Good luck with the start-up. I'll keep my ears open for "the word" on you and your parts once your up and running.

Re: Price Truck Stop Back in Business!
Perry it depends on the crwod your looking to cater too. If your after the classic truck market then most of the guys prefer a more tradational conservative look. That would include 15" stock or chrome ralley wheels, and progress up to 17's. American Racing TT II's are still pretty popular here. Some guys are starting to consider 20's. A few are even looking at the more contemporary wheels in chrome...

Re: Price Truck Stop Back in Business!
I don't mind paying more for good quality stuff. Sales folks with some product knowledge or a good techline would be a plus.
Interior parts in non-original colors would be useful. Not everyone has good luck with dyeing stuff.

Re: Price Truck Stop Back in Business!
Thanks guys!
We definitely do not want to be the typical cookie cutter source. Years back we had a nice niche offering tire and wheel packages. We understand backspace, tire diameter, brake clearance, etc. Still to this day I do not see that service being offered as far as determining the right fit. Heck anyone can sell a part numbered wheel but with all the mods that are being performed in the Truck, HotRod, and Muscle Car arena who can afford a screw up! Remember that most Billet Wheel Mfg's offer backspace in 1/8" increments while the off the shelf crowd your lucky with 1/2" increments. Man the difference on a vehicle with airide as example is do or die or a buckled quarter panel that I saw recently. When I get setup with Josh here I will consider group purchase options of some sort. Thanks Again! Perry |
