Pictures! '72 K-20..........Did I get shafted?

Here are two of the '72 K-20 I bought from Utah...........I have $3600 in it total($2500 for the truck and $1100 for shipping). I wish I knew someone who deals in stake bodys as I imagine this stake which is almost new, cost as much as I have in the whole truck.

Good buy or not?

Doesn't look bad. Needs taller tires and different wheels, IMO. I'd say good buy.

I am probably going to run steel splits like I have on my Cummins truck...........As for taller tires, It is already to high for me now I am used to the 4x2's where you don't have to get a jump going to get in, then I get this

Oh, you mean the man-killers that go like hell in the snow? I guess you wouldn't like my truck then, because mine is higher off the ground than yours. Anyways, doesn't matter. Nice truck. Definetly a worker.

BTW, I'll be looking for that free big block coming through UPS soon.

You send me your whole truck, and I'll give you the big block

There are always running boards and such, I'm short too.
Seriously, I paid $2500 for my 71 C20, and that was 'cuz it was family. I'm pretty certain you got a great deal. I'd do it.

Re: Pictures! '72 K-20..........Did I get shafted?

If a flat bed is what you wanted........you got a great deal, the cab looks rust free. I spent just about that much on my truck (but I didn't need to ship it) and I felt I got a good deal........so if you got what you wanted....plus a big block.....congrates!
Nice looking truck.....as I always tell myself.....its worth what you are willing to pay....if you are happy.....dont worry about what other people would pay(they don't own your truck)....you can always make your deal look worse if you keep looking for something better
nice truck!!!! how do you like the big block.....haven't driven one since the last time I drove an 8.1 (496) and that was nice......almost barked all four tires in 4 lo).

Re: Pictures! '72 K-20..........Did I get shafted?

About all my neighbors thought I was nuts, but I tore it apart already and I am getting ready to paint the chassis, cab and front clip..............It had acouple rust areas that looked pretty bad and we couldn't buff them out 100% so I got itch and tore it down.

I tossed the 454.........Intending to throw a hot inline I have in it, but have found a 6BT Cummins, and I am trying to get it bought to put in this truck.

Re: Pictures! '72 K-20..........Did I get shafted?

Looks cool! Just put some steel rims with those 7.5-16 lug tires on it, they would look awesome on that truck. I have a couple of those tires for spares and they look cool on old trucks, too bad Goodyear doesn't make 'em anymore. It looks like it needs cab marker lights too, but I'm just used to seeing that on a flatbed truck.

I still have the BB out in the shed sitting on a tire..............Been trying to unload it and haven't had much luck. You better drive down and get it for cheap

I actually don't even really care about the 6BT, I really want the NV4500 behind it...............The wore out SM465 in this truck is a junk shifting POS. I guess that is what a gooseneck will do to them, but the one in my 1-ton works like new.

Yeah, me and my dad will drive down in the GMC. Could you imagine how fun of a trip that would be??? Trying to go on the interstate, even though you could barely pass 65 because you're afraid the engine would blow???

I seriously don't want it. I'm just putting the BS to ya. I'd kill myself if I put a 454 in my truck. Too fast and powerful. 350 Chevy would be bad enough.

I own 4 454's and I am trading two of those for a 572 (502 high nickle bock to be bored and stroked) They only go as fast as you push the pedel!! With gas getting around $3 a gallon again, I guess we'll all own em for quite awhile!!
