'67 GMC Grill into '70-'72 GMC?

What's the problems involved.

Isn't it something because of the core support and all that?

I know the sidemarkers, etc...but what about just bolting a '67 grill up to a '70-'72 model GMC. Why won't it work directly? Or will it?

Thanks ya'll.

The grill will work if you take the 67 top bar off (may be bolted, may be riveted) and replace it with the chrome topbar from the 70-72 grill. This one will be a no-brainer...

Good luck, Roger

Take pics of the install, I'm interested in seeing this done.

Re: '67 GMC Grill into '70-'72 GMC?

Thanks for the info.

I am looking into possibly replacing my grill, and I like the GMC lettering in the '67 pretty well. Since I don't have any emblems or hood letters, I think this would be a nice tough.

The only thing is, I also have a '67 tailgate, so I don't want folks thinking I have a botched up truck with a '67 grill & tailgate, then the '71 side markers & hood (and other tell-tells of course, but those are the physical obvious).

As raggedjim said, just remove to top bar from the 67 grill, it should work fine. Here are some pics of my 67 GMC grill in pieces.
