Weekend Report - March 11th-12th - what'd you do with yer ride?
What did you do to or with your old '60-'66 pickup, panel, carryall or 'burb this weekend?
---- On my '65 c10... I took off the trailer brake unit(it was toast, was on there when I bought it, I've never used it) and assorted wires and accessories. That was a dirty job and cost me one t-shirt when my shirt got caught in the wheels of the creeper I was using at my friends house. Oops. I also drove around in the '65 C10... seemed the nice weather brought out all the cool old cars and trucks. Sunday, I took the baby moons off the wheels, then scrubbed down the wheels and tires good. I then touched up the black spray paint on all four wheels since I had a few nicks and old paint showing in a few places. I let that dry good... then I hit the tires with that armor all extreme tire shine... really keeps the tires shiny for a good month. I also washed off the baby moons... and polished them up a little bit with some Mother's wheel polish. Then I put it all back together. A few pics I snapped after I finished up with the wheels: http://woogeroo.home.mindspring.com/...a/img03122006/ So, what'd you guys and gals do? -W |

On my 64 Panel I mounted a Mallory 685 Ign box and a relay center base(cover is next), figured out my horns quit working(no idea why) and mocked up a heater hose support bracket off alternator. Worked on a Jeep all day Sat....damn vacuum hoses....

Blew the cobwebs out of the motor and aranged for a place to take it apart and strip the body of paint and filler. Will start next week hopefully.

Pulled one bedside off the long-fleet trailer I bought for the bed. Plan: cut down both bedsides to short in prep for converting my brothers '64 long-fleet to short.
