Question 70' Seat replacement ideas???

OK, so I used the search engine but could not find the info I'm looking for; My P.O. decided to put in bucket seats, which was nice, until I tore out the carpet today to find he used 2X4's as the seat brackets. The seats are held in by wood screws.
Seeing this is a major safety issue I need to replace the seats.
Question is what is the best junkyard replacement? I would like the integrated shoulder belts, however I think they require a bunch or wiring to work properly? The bench/bucket combo is fine, but what year/model?
Any ideas would be great.

Re: 70' Seat replacement ideas???

I love the 40/20/40 seat with the built in seat belts from a 99 up chevy truck! We are in the process of putting a late model suburban leather middleseat in my nephews truck I'll post you a couple pics!

I also went with the 90s style 60/40 cloth and they fit well.

Re: 70' Seat replacement ideas???

Is the seat height correct or did you have to fab seat brackets for either of these? Thanks.

Re: 70' Seat replacement ideas???

I used the 40/20/40 out of a late 90's dodge truck. They fit and look nice. I did have to fab up some floor brackets to get it to sit right. I'm glad I upgraded, the seat I have now is really comfy.

Re: 70' Seat replacement ideas???

I may fab some brackets to get the seat to sit a little lower but its pretty nice like it is and so far all I have done is cut off unwanted stuff! I'll post pics when I'm done I just started on it last night!

Re: 70' Seat replacement ideas???

I have a similar thread going here too about a similar subject. I have a 72 GMC with a bench and I just purchased a set of 02 Chevy Tahoe tan leather buckets with the integrated seat belt. Does anyone have pics of the brackets that they fabbed up in order to mount buckets where a bench was?
