4-link question

i had recently purchased a super pivot super lift 4 link from suicide doors for my tacoma. my tacoma was recently totalled before i could get it installed and i now have this just sitting. the lower bars are 28" and the uppers are 30". my question is will this length work on a 78 blazer? the 4-link cost me almost $500 shipped and if i can use it it will keep me from dealing with trying to sell this at a loss and buying a new link and waiting a month for it to come in

Re: 4-link question

If you're fabbing/welding it in, the length of the bars is about right. Typical late 70's GM trucks had about 25" from the C/L of the front spring eye bolt to the front of the housing tube. I believe later model trucks (post 88) use 31~32" long bars.

The longer the better..... as long as you can fit them.

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.

Re: 4-link question

Have you considered talking to Jason and see if they will take what you don't need in exchange for what you do? Everything I hear about him is very positive towards customer service. Even if you do have to pay shipping and a restocking fee it might be worth giving it a shot...

Re: 4-link question

i thought about calling jason but i figured it wouldnt be worth it trying to ship the 4-link back (weighs roughly 100 Lbs.) i have decided to go ahead and use it. there is only about a 3" difference in wheelbase length between my old tacoma and my newly aqquired blazer.

Re: 4-link question

I'd still call him and see what the difference is. It's always better to start with the right parts then spending more tima and money getting the wrong ones to work.
