Th350 TO 700R4 QUESTION ????
I have 1970 chevy K10 4x4 with small block 400, Th350, 205 TRNS case, 12 bolt rear end. I want to put A 700r4 in the truck, so what i wanted to know is how much did you have to move the crossmember fowerd, and how much did you have to shorten the drive shaft, also did you have to lengthen the front drive shaft at all???? I alredy have the transmission and the adaptor. Is there anything els i need? Thanks for the Help James[/B]

The 700 is 1.75 inches longer than the 350.If you move the engine forward,no need for any driveshaft changes.

I think moving the motor fowerd is going to be my best bet and the cheapest

About how much do i need to move the motor and trans forward???

1 3/4".That is with the stock transfer adapter and an advance adapters shaft in the 700r4.
