If it ain't one thing...

Hey guys,

I have this list on my fridge of things to get to before Maggie Valley. Problem is that I keep running into things that aren't on the list to fix that keep screwing up.

New Problem-

Ignition Key Won't Turn

Both of my keys(door/ignition) are square. I might have put the wrong one in don't know if that is the problem or not.

Re: If it ain't one thing...

I would unscrew the whole assembly and and unplug and replace the whole thing key and all, fairly cheap and as far as you are into your project I doubt if it wil break the bank..Randy

Re: If it ain't one thing...

Have you been having problems with it (tight, hard to turn, have to wiggle it to make it turn) or easy like its supposed to? Take a can of wd-40 or something close and if you have it put on little red tube so don't make as big a mess. Remove key and give it a good shot in the key hole then insert and remove the key a few times putting light pressure on key side to side. (make sure you use the right key) It may or may not work but I've got away with it for years. Let me know.

Re: If it ain't one thing...

You could try having a copy made of your old key, maybe it would be worn enough less that it would work ???

That's the thing. No problems ever with this. No warning or nothing. I haven't tried to mess with it since it happen. I'll try in the morning when I get off work.
