Rain, Rain, Go Away!

So, I'm really not wishing the rain away, because those of you that live in the southwest know we need it badly! But, we're moving and the garage is full of boxes waiting to go on the trailer, so the '72 is sitting outside in the rain. I think this might be a first. I don't know if she's ever seen rain before. She's not a trailer queen, but she IS a garage queen, and spends most of her time under a car cover.

...I'd guess I have some work to do with "the absorber!"

can I get some cheese with my whine?

Re: Rain, Rain, Go Away!

Dude!

Be Lucky you don't live in the coastal Pacific Northwest, like Portland or Seattle...you can dry her off after you get moved in.

A lot of the trucks from up here start rusting when the sun cracks the seal in the drip rail and then the truck spends a few years on the coast...the rainwater eventually leaks in-between the sheet metal near the windshield and leaks down into the doors.

The rust goes down inside the A-pillar and continues to eat away the inside of the vent area and the corners of the floor below it.

Your Queen will be okay.

Re: Rain, Rain, Go Away!

lol it rained here all day, but i worked in the garage on my truck. i got a battery and i thought, "before grounding it, the horn's gonna go off". sure enough the horn went off when i connected the ground. i knew the grant steering wheel messed something up, that was the weirdest install.

Re: Rain, Rain, Go Away!

ha.... I wish the snow would go away already ... we just got another dump of snow, about 12" today. And there’s got to be about 2 and a half feet in the non-drifted areas. Look on the bright side guys at least you don’t have to shovel the rain or worry about calling for a tow truck to get you off the side streets!!! Oh well I guess that’s what I get for living in the Great White North
