Re: What did you get done?

I got a whole lot done this weekend

My truck's front clip harness is totally done, and ready to go, interior harness is totally done, and ready to go, EFI harness needs 5 ground wires, and 4 dizzy wires, also need a tail light, and engine harness yet

Since the interior wiring is done, I got my dash back together. Its been so long I almost forgot what it looks like, lol! Basically, a huge step forwards for me I'm definitely getting motivated again, and I am hoping to have the truck able to pull itself outta the shop in a few weeks (all depending on if I am able to find a memcal within that time)

Re: What did you get done?

Well I finally got off my scary butt and put the intake on my crate motor. I don't know if everything is sealed up properly, but I'll find out when I finally crank it up. I did it by the book so we'll see on d-day.

Re: What did you get done?

I played around changing to a SWP set-up on the 350 that's being installed in my 68. I still need to make a few adj's to the timing cover & I'm waiting on a couple of other new parts & I have some more used pieces to pick up from MATT67350 when he gets back in town.

Other than that I sat around w/my GF & watched it rain all weekend. The pool was overflowing yesterday afternoon & it hasn't stopped since (6" of rain around Garland).

I did manage to get out of work early on Thurs to finish up stuff I started last weekend while my GF was out of town. I got the firewall of the 68 cleaned up & painted so now it's ready to start going back together. It turned out pretty decent for being done @ night in the driveway..... definitely good enough for beater/driver status.

Re: What did you get done?

I pulled the Ford 9 out of Red, and sat it aside and put the factory 10 bolt back in. Now I need to get new brake shoes and wheel cylinders. Started tearing my motor apart, I need to clean that bad boy out and flush all the loose metal out of it. Started to clean up the wiring a little bit on Red so it will look a little nicer while I am trying to fix Lucky 13. I have yet to be able to do anything with her, went out and looked at the frame and started dreaming again, but I have to get Red on the road again first.

Re: What did you get done?

Saturday I went to the Chevy/ GMC truckin nationals in Santa Maria with a pocket full of cash hoping to buy some goodies but it was much smaller show then everyone expected (due to rain) anyway long story short all I bought an autoloc alarm with door lock poppers, after 3 hours driving each way that was kind of depressing, and not many cool trucks to see either... Today made up for it went to a local swapmeet found a cherry dash bezel for my truck for $10 bucks! and another guy selling a box of air ride stuff, 8 1/2" valves, fittings, and a bunch of line, it was all unused I figured a couple hundred bucks well I got it for $20 bucks! what a steal, that saved me a ton since those valves are $30-40 each. Sorry for the long story just had to tell truck guys who might understand!

Re: What did you get done?

Didn't do anything, too cold and wet out. But I was planning on putting new brake pads.

Watched my front yard get covered in around 6" of rain mostly.

I did go up to Outlaw Motorosports and help Joe hang the fenders/hood/doors on his door laying dually.

Re: What did you get done?

Spent all saturday with the power rake in the front yard, my nose hate me for it because Ive been sneezing ever since then. I'm going to really enjoy the back yard next week but green grass by easter is worth it! Went to work yesturday and finished building a PSD transmission and transfer case even got it all installed and drove it home last night. I should have plugged the truck in earlyer since the glow plugs arent all that great. My truck got a breather and sat in the shop all weekend I figure it's the best way to save $2.49 gas, well at least my own gas.

Re: What did you get done?

I'm building kick panels for thirdgen camaros/firebirds. Being springtime, I'm starting to get busy. I'm doing 2 sets right now, and I've got an order for a 3rd plus a subwoofer enclosure. I'm so sick of sanding bondo.

Re: What did you get done?

not much here but hanging out with the family a bit i did go thru the goodie box in my garage and have a few thing i need to get ride of. i will prolly have a list with pics this week or this weekend man i am a pack rat when it come to truck parts. i am kind a hurtin for cash so my loss is someones gain i was looking at the cab in my garage that i have been working on and have decided to strip it completely and blast it all so i guess i wont be driving it anytime soon but it will be worth it in the long run i have been thinking of inrolling back in to vo-tech night class so that i can use there equipment to do my project it will be cheaper than buying everything. basically i have the drive train complete ele. is in the process and a lot of time and no cash boy dont that sound like a broken record sorry for the long post just relieveing some mind space.

Re: What did you get done?

I didn't get anything truck related done. I didn't even move the Suburban. But, I did get the surround sound speakers put into my walls and ceiling. It sounds outstanding! Now if I could just get the foundation people out again, we would be moving.

Re: What did you get done?

Friday I called ECE wondereing where my motor mounts were so I could put the 6.0L in the frame only to find out they shipped it to the wrong place and it won't be here until tomorrow. That night I gathered up all the parts I needed for the truck that was spread across 2 households.
Saturday I put the frame on a trailer and my brother, best friend Live85 and I went and picked up the bed and bolted it down temporarily. Drove back to my house and played musical trucks and put the cab back on the frame.
Sunday afternoon I went out to the garage and sucessfully put the doors on by myself while my wife cheered me on.

Today if the weather isn't bad it should be making a trip to my brothers house that I was trying to do last night.

Worked like usual Seems like I never have the time or $$$ to work on the truck. I need another truck to drive so I can work on this one.

Re: What did you get done?

I'm getting in late on this one. I had a really busy week and it stayed that way all through the weekend. Saturday I went to another volleyball tournament with my daughter. Her 14-2 team played up in the 15 division and placed third. Not a bad finish for what is supposed to be the second 14's team at our club.

Saturday evening I drove to Galveston to see my nieces son in the hospital. He fell out of a tree and broke both his arms.

Sunday I worked in my yard most of the day. Me and my crew planted 8 flats of flowers and plants, trimmed shrubs, and spread 3 yards of mulch.

Today I talked with Roger at Stoked Out. He said my 77 is ready to come home. He needs to spend a little time adjust the shift linkage, and she is good to go. I plan to go up there after I get back from Atlanta and pick it up...
