Van tilt levers and turn signal switch
I picked up a van tilt over the weekend for my dads 70' and and wanted to know if the TS arm and switch would work on this 81' van tilt?. Will his shifter arm work on the van tilt or does he have to buy all new parts from a 81'?. All his truck column stuff is brand new and I'm hoping he can reuse some of it. Thanks

Re: Van tilt levers and turn signal switch
The turn signal and tilt levers can be used
I don't THINK the turn signal can be used. Shifter can not be used. This is assuming that dad had a non tilt, and going to a van tilt...correct? |

Re: Van tilt levers and turn signal switch
Andy- my dads truck column is a non-tilt but the switch and levers on his truck column are new. All three levers on the van tilt are nasty. So he can install his nice signal arm lever onto the new tilt ?. This means all he needs is a new shifter lever and switch??

Re: Van tilt levers and turn signal switch
Jim, it has to be a tilt shifter arm. I may have an extra arm up here and you're welcome to it. The switch should work. I used the good one out of my 3spd column. Went right in.

Re: Van tilt levers and turn signal switch
You can make a tilt lever out of an old turn signal lever by hacksawing it to length and threading the end with a 1/4-20 die. It will screw right in.
