lifting my 2wd
im trying to lift my 2wd 1972 c10 to gain a little ground clearance.... just so we can go mess around on some local offroad spots. dont really need 4wd just ground clearance where were going.... im gonna put a 3" body lift on it... what else can i do to lift it up a little. coil rear end makes it hard to lift it seems if i had a 73-87 this would be hella easy... please advise

Just for the record, your 3 inch body lift wont do anything for you off road. Hmmmm?? Your frame and everything else will still have the same clearance.

yeah i know but i figure eventually ill be able to fit a little bigger tire any idea on how to get this c10 up in the air a little

Unless you change the coils not much. Maybe air shocks pumped up in 70's fashion. they make a kit to expand coils, we always made our own w/ some big all thread on our derby cars! lol maybe not the best way to go!

I have seen 2 wheel drive lift kits for the 73 and up
the rear would be easy |

IMOP, I would throw a 4x4 frame under it and leave off the transfercase and take advantage of all the good stuff that you can get for any 4x4 from places like Rancho!

73 and up front coils will fit
In the rear, you could start with a set of 3/4 ton coil springs. I'd imagine your present coils are somewhat settled, so between that and the heavier new 3/4 ton coils, the rear will likely come up several inches.
