Digital instruments are hard on the brain, you have to mentally convert 63 digital to 'about fast enough', etc,. Analog guages are the way to go, digital may work for computers, but not for your brain.
Just my 2 cents from the owner of Sierra Cybernetics.

A friend of mine has that instrument cluster. It's nice, but I prefer the analog gauges.

Comming from a guy who watched gages in Herks for 20 yrs, and still doing it in the simulator, analog is the heat.

i prefer analog. My old toyota "foreigner" (may it rest in peace/pieces) had digital guages and i found them to be a pain in the butt. Analog is the way to go

Im sorry, but I think those digital gauges are terrible looking. It looks like the 1970's Texas Instraments Calcualtor read outs. With all the different digital technology today, I think they could do better than a cheap cash register read out.

Dakota digital makes some nice stuff (I have a custom digital airride gauge in my '02 GMC HD), but I think it's best left to secondary instruments like my airride. I still prefer (stock) analog gauges. Remember when the '84 Corvette came out with digital gauges? Sucked bit time! Wasn't long before they were back to analog sweep gauges.
Ditto 68 'Burbs TI analogy!

I don't like those guages. Now, if someone could make a dash that was digital but looked more like the analogs, say like a sweep indicator lighting up on the outside edge along with a numeric readout, that would be cool. Had a digital dash in my Cutlass I used to have, and liked that one.

Might just have to free up some time to play in the electronics lab sometime.....
