Saw an S-10 pulling a 1967 fleetside

It was Friday night heading east from North Platte, Neb. Was making 80 mph. It was dark, so didn't get a good look at it.

If the s10 was a 4.3, it'll pull quite a bit. Of course wether I clain Mississippi or my original home of Pennsylvania, we all have crazy folks that do things like that. I have see much worse combos (even some that I didn't have nothing to do with )

Re: Saw an S-10 pulling a 1967 fleetside

Geez, I used my '90 S-15 4.3l today for a dump run, had a little over 500 kgs on the trailer (approx. 1,100 lbs.) and that was enough of a load for it. Lots of power just short in the braking, suspension dept.

Re: Saw an S-10 pulling a 1967 fleetside

my dad had a 1997 cheyenne 1500 with a 4.3, 5-speed, 3.42 rear end and it towed a 30ft trailer that weighed 4000-5000lbs pretty good. those 4.3s are pretty good motors, just a 350 with 2 cylinders chopped off. My dad sold that truck to my cousin and im going to be driving that truck this summer, YEAH!
