M-21 BBC setup

I have an M-21 4-speed with bellhousing, flywheel, clutch, pressure plate, hurst comp+ shifter. Everything you need for a BBC. I bought this tranny as part of an engine tranny package. It came out of a 1970 Chevelle SS it was not a #'s matching car and I know the engine is a 396 out of a 1969 and it is in the Jumpin Jimmy the tranny I don't know. There are several pics at the jummin jimmy link below. I also have a set of hooker headers for BBC in a 70 chevelle. Please note the bellhousing does have a small hole in it. Asking $1200.00 For everything. Would perfer local pickup.

Re: M-21 BBC setup

Honestly, since you asked,I think the price is high.Without knowing the condition/mileage of the clutch or overall condition It`s hard to say. But,I would expect to pay about 1/2 of what you`re asking unless I knew the parts had nomiles and the trans was recently gone over, repaired or rebuilt.

I've got the same setup that I've had for 23 years. The best offer i ever got on it was $500 and it had new parts. (Used 4 months in daily driver) Could sell it for $300 every day. Still taking up space on the shelf.

Last week you would have owned it. After having it all this time I was ready to give up. Monday I bought a project 67 truck and it will have the 4 speed in it. If my plan changes I'll get back to you. Thanks.

IMO; most people paying 1200 or so for a manual trans will opt for a new Tremmec 5 speed O.D. tranny over 30 year old 4-speeds.
