Question L.E.D. Taillights won't blink?

I've got some LED taillights for my 77's flatbed, but when I hooked them up, the turn signal light just stays on. What do I need to make them blink? I think I remember reading about it on here, but the seach didn't turn up anything.

You might need a flasher made for LEDs. They are called "no load" or something like that. The LEDs don't draw enough current to make the regular flasher work.

Get an electronic flasher at your local autoparts store to replace the one you currently have. That will fix it.

Re: L.E.D. Taillights won't blink?

I have LED's on the back of my stepside, and I did not have to change anything in regards to the flashers. Just wired them up and turned them on. Maybe you just need a new flasher in general, my four-ways acted like that until I replaced the flasher.

I had to get the electronic flasher as stated above. Pep Boys has them for a few dollars.
