Can anyone help identify these seats?

Just wondering if anyone knows what these seats are out of?They were in a 68 3/4 ton truck I received but I know they weren't original but the seat frame holes did match up with the truck. They are similar to the 68 buddy bucket seats, but these are highback. The center seat does have a metal storage box under it.All three seats are on a single frame.I would appreciate help if anyone has it.Thinking about putting these in my 72 1/2 ton and would like to know what they are from.I do have pic but not getting it small enough right now.

Re: Can anyone help identify these seats?

Kind of looks like they were van seats that the PO mounted on the Buddy Bucket Frame, What's everyone elses opinion?

Re: Can anyone help identify these seats?

My thought is Dodge P/U or maybe Dodge van. Chevy and GMC have vertical pleats while Dodge has horizontal pleats. Dodge seats that I have found have GM 22 molded into the foam on the bottom. I believe the seats to be identical to the GM ones along with the console box and cushion. The slides are definetly the same. The Dodge frame is somewhat different. It lacks the downward brace under the console. The mounting points are different from GM in that Dodge uses a 2 bolt bracket in front and an adjustible mount at the rear. You can raise or lower the back of the Dodge frame about 2 inches IIR. The Dodge frame therfore only cantacts to floor at the front and rear corners whereas the GM touches the entire length on each side and under the console. I have found Dodge P/U around 1968/70???? I found one Dodge van about the same era. I believe Dodge vans started using those A100 seats quite early that became quite popular the dragrace crowd due to their VERY LIGHT weight.

There is an older gentleman in town with a perfect set of Black buckets and console in his Dodge. He just does't know what he has.

I have tried to contact Legendary Auto Interiors(60/70 Mopar Interior specialist) but they always say no way.

This turned out to be quite long. Sorry I just run on and on.

Bob

Re: Can anyone help identify these seats?

I really don't think so. It's your truck you can do what ever you want to do. If you were to order an upholstry kit they would look just like everybodyelse's Chevy seats.

On second thought I think you should send them to me at your expense and I will destroy them for you at not cost to me. Thank you very much.

Seriously, where did you find them? Dodge or Chevy? P/U or van. Are you familiar with the frame - Dodge or Chevy?

Please share - Bob

Re: Can anyone help identify these seats?

Here is a set of Dodge (black). I threw the frame away and used individual mounts.

...and the blue ones are International.

They were all made by the same company back in the 60's.

Re: Can anyone help identify these seats?

I threw the Dodge frame away and used these individual mounts. The Dodge frame didn't come close to the Chevy cab. I have had a couple sets of these, but not at the same time, so I don't know if they were different or not...depending on the year or model they came out of.
Some one on the board bought the center seat/box, as it was identical to the GM. Someone else bought the seats just to recover and run w/o the center.
Everybody does it a little different.
All I have now are a set of the real GM ones...$$$
