Re: any polishing aluminum sugestions
Only way is to remove the anodized coating. We did this on orangeuavol's 72 Blazer. We had a powder (don't know the name of it as it was given to us and he didn't know either) that we mixed with water and made a container of sheet plastic deep enough to soak the grill in. It worked and was easy to buff to a chrome like shine.

Re: any polishing aluminum sugestions
I bought a Mother's Polishing Ball a few weeks ago and used it to polish some aluminum wheels that hadn't been polished in over 6 years. They were soooo bad. I bought some Blue Star polish and used the Polishing Ball and had all the wheels shining like new in less than an hour. That's including the time it took me to take the wheels off the truck to do the polishing.
Highly recommend and only $20. JKR

Re: any polishing aluminum sugestions
California Customs Purple polish and its oxidizer will do as good or better than anything else and I have tired most of all of it.

Re: any polishing aluminum sugestions
I bought this at a car show 10 years back and this stripped the old coating off. It is a white powder and mixes with warm water. I don't know if these people are still in business or not. Their address is 132 Botany Slopes Rd. Piedmony, South Carolina, 29673. Phone is 803-845-6311.
